Self help deceased estates

The death of a loved one is a sad and stressful event and this can create a huge amount of work handling the affairs of the deceased.

If the deceased left a Will, the handling of the administration of the estate is usually set out in the Will and the person nominated should be contacted to get the ball rolling.

If there is no Will and if the estate is small, you can usually handle the administration yourself, provided you know what to do. Mc Naught and Company handle the preparation of Wills as well as the administration of deceased estates and if you have the death certificate and ID of the deceased, you can make an appointment and we can handle all the administrative work.

For those who want to know how it all works and would like to download the necessary forms, here is a useful link to the Government website that puts this information together for you.
