This year, today March 1st, Mc Naught and Company commemorates four remarkable decades since its inception by Dave Mc Naught in 1984. While Dave has beautifully chronicled our heritage in his writings, I am compelled to shine a light on what I consider to be the cornerstone of our firm: our enduring aspiration to excel and innovate in everything we undertake. Our unwavering commitment has always been to enhance our service and make a positive impact—not only in engaging with our clients, who we regard as an extension of our family but in the quality of our work, and the broader societal imprint we strive to leave.
BONDS
Adhering to this vision over the past 40 years has fostered our growth while we’ve nurtured the deep personal bonds that tie us to our "family"—clients whose lives we've been privileged to be part of.
In my tenure with Mc Naught and Company, I have seen the tapestry of relationships grow—from drafting nuptial agreements for those embarking on second chapters of love to celebrating new beginnings with their grandchildren. From witnessing families take their first steps into new homes to supporting them as they embark on new life stages, these connections are the lifeblood of our firm and key to our enduring legacy.
EXPANSION
Despite evolution and expansion, reaching into three provinces and establishing a bustling litigation arm that serves not just local corporate clients but spans the African continent, our essence remains intact. Such growth is a testament to the dedication of our team and the unwavering faith our clients place in us—for which I am profoundly grateful.
