Founded on the 1st March 1984, Mc Naught and Co was the first attorney’s firm to decentralise in Durban and relocate to the Bluff suburb, taking law convenience to where people live.
In celebration of our roots we will be running a selection of heritage stories marking the early days of the Bluff and it’s history.
Today we remember the Bluff Whaling Station established 1907 and continued to 1975 and was one of the largest in the southern hemisphere. In October 2019 the Bluff became the world’s first certified Whale Heritage Site and the passing whale population has increased to an annual figure of around 7000 humpbacks compared to 340 when the whaling station closed.
